The StopTB Romania Partnership was born in 2012 in order to increase the level of political awareness, will and commitment to tackle tuberculosis in Romania through coordinated actions and a unified voice.
The partnership’s members are NGOs that promote human rights and the rights of people with tuberculosis (TB) in Romania, professional and student organizations that carry out interventions, projects and programs in the field of prevention and control of tuberculosis and improve the lives of people affected by tuberculosis.
As a member of the European Union and as a country affected by TB, Romania has a unique position in the region in the fight against tuberculosis. StopTB Romania Partnership aims to capitalize the skills, abilities and energy of all its members and to ensure a high influence and impact of existing efforts, with the ultimate goal of stopping the spread of TB.
The vision of the Partnership is a Romania without tuberculosis.
The Partnership’s mission is to promote the right of every person in Romania at risk of contracting or suffering from tuberculosis, with information, diagnosis, complete and correct treatment until cure and appropriate support services according to international standards.
The StopTB Romania Partnership is the national partner for StopTB Partnership International.
